We make a lot of videos for mashups at MVGEN because they are fun to make and get lots of views. Here’s a nice mashup between two legends in their own fields, Tupac and Bach. It uses the classic Bach song “Air On A G-String” which sounds like a rap song already. We added some cool classical and Tupac visuals and used some cool effects for the video.

Harvard Blue “Monster Inside Me” MVGEN Video
Harvard Blue is a real dope rapper out of my hometown of Cambridge, Mass (and the home of Harvard). I saw someone make a video with monster as a keyword for so I decided to make a video for Harvard Blue’s song, “Monster Inside Me” using monster as a keyword too. Check out the video listen to the lyrics and check the visuals.

Jordan And Barkley Vs. LeBron And Blake Griffin
One other cool thing you can do with MVGEN is make your own highlight videos. Just type in the name of your favorite athletes (as one word like michaeljordan) and get your own highlight tape to what ever music you want. Here’s some of the best dunkers ever set to a mashup of Quad City DJs and Ryan Lewis and Macklemore so you can slam like the city can’t hold us.

Kendrick Lamar And Taylor Swift “Freestyle It Off” MVGEN Video
So Kendrick Lamar will be in Taylor Swift’s new video. We already had a mashup collabo of their’s at MVGEN so I guess today would be a good time to post it. Hopefully we can get a real collaboration between these two soon but until then just freestyle if off.

Tupac And Coldplay “Dear Mama, The Scientist” MVGEN Video
It’s amazing how few good songs there are for Mother’s Day compared to the songs about jumps, exes and enemies. We decided to put a twist on the Tupac “Dear Mama” classic and use the Coldplay “The Scientist” mashup because nobody said motherhood would be easy. We added some cool effects to the visuals too. Hope you like it. Happy Mother’s Day.

Slick Rick “Behind Bars (Prince Paul Mix)” MVGEN Video
Slick Rick is one of my favorite rappers ever and Prince Paul is one of my favorite producers ever. I’m surprised I never heard Prince Paul’s version of “Behind Bars” but it is real dope. I’d love for Prince Paul to produce and album for Slick Rick with skits and storytelling that’d be dope, but until then check out the video.

Tupac x Michael Jackson “The Man In The Mirror Changes”
Okay its been a while since I’ve posted on this blog. Everybody should check out the stuff I’m posting on Reddit. So far we’ve had 50,000 views in the past month thanks to the good content and subreddits over there. I still haven’t forgot about the blog and it would be nice if more people would check the content over here too and submit good content (either MVGEN videos or songs that they’d like videos for). Anyways here’s Tupac and Michael Jackson I thought the “Man In The Mirror” would be a good excuse for us to use the mirror effect.

Ike Dolo “Bmore Go Hard” MVGEN Video
We try and be current at MVGEN. So when my homie Ike Dolo who’s originally from Baltimore sent me a track about what was going on in Baltimore over the Freddie Gray situation right now, I made a video with it using images of police brutality and protests in Baltimore and all over the world.
Killer Mike “Ric Flair” MVGEN Video
Killer Mike is one of my favorite emcees out right now and is peaking with his solo work and Run The Jewels with El-P. He just pout out a video for this song “Ric Flair” so I thought I’d make another one for him with highlights of the wrestler the song is named after, Ric Flair.
De La Soul And Nas “God It” MVGEN Video
The rumors of De La Soul’s and hip-hop’s death have been greatly exaggerated. Great to see one of my favorite rappers collaborate with one of my favorite rap groups and the song is dope so I had to make a video for this one.
