Tyler The Creator “Yellow” MVGEN Video

ttc

It seems like the new rude boy of rap, Tyler The Creator from Odd Future has found his sensitive side and is getting his sing on this new track “Yellow.” The theme and feel of this song   make it ideal for an MVGEN video so check it out.

Q-Tip And Star Wars “A Force Called Quest”

Picture 343

So my favorite rap group growing up was A Tribe Called Quest and my favorite movies were the “Star Wars” series. This mashup is actually from a Chemical Brothers song “Galvanize” that has Q-Tip vocals but I decided to go with the ATCQ theme with “Star Wars” to make the video.

Notorious BIG x Alfred Hitchcock “Dead Wrong Psycho”

Picture 340

It’s pretty clear the the Notorious BIG was influenced by the great director, Alfred Hitchcock. Biggie even referred to himself as the black Alfred Hitchcock and his title “Notorious” is also the name of a Hitchcock movie. Biggie’s song “Dead Wrong” is a pretty disturbing tale of rape and violence but it seems as if he is playing the villain in his own Hitchcock movie.

Thomas And Biggie “The Notorious TTE” MVGEN Video

tte

So the highly touted music blog, Pigeons And Planes has found out about one of our favorite subreddits, Thomas The Dank Engine and has even written a blog about it. I wonder if they saw one of our dankerrific videos for Thomas there. We just made a new one for the Biggie and Thomas collabo “The Notorious TTE” featuring the late, great Christopher Wallace rapping over the children’s TV show theme song.

Revolvr Ft Iggy Azalea “Raptor Badger” (Nonsense Rap)

iggy

Iggy Azalea sucks. But she still is pretty funny. This guy Revolvr made a remix of that nonsense rap she made that has been circulating the web by vine and some other sites and it’s pretty cool. I’ll post the vine of her nonsense rap too so you can get some perspective if you haven’t heard it.

Flying Lotus Ft. Kendrick Lamar “Eyes Above” Video

fl

So Kendrick Lamar has earned some points from me after that awful Reebok commercial. This dude Flying Lotus is bringing back jazz and creativity in hip-hop and I’m not made at him for hit. This song is kind of trippy so I made a trippy video for it.

7L And Esoteric “Be Alert” MVGEN Video

soundwave

Shout out to 7L and Esoteric. I’ve known them for a long time from the Boston and rap scene and they are still doing their thing and have a new project Czarface 2 with Wu-Tang Clan’s “Inspecta Deck” and the first single, “Deadly Class” just dropped from it. Here’s their first single, “Be Alert” that sampled the Transformers theme so I added some Transformers Gifs. I had made a video of this before I got skilled with MVGEN so this one is a lot better.

A-ha x Quad City DJs “Slam One Me” MVGEN Video

Picture 332

For some reason, people love making mashups of Quad City DJ’s “Space Jam.” Here’s a good one with Aha’s “Take On Me.” I used the pencil effect because it was the same one used in Aha’s video and put in SpaceJam and MichaelJordan as keywords.

MF Doom And Flying Lotus “Masquatch” MVGEN Video

Picture 328

Okay so it looks like the internet got April Fooled by Facts Magazine claiming that underground favorite rapper MF Doom and up and coming producer Flying Lotus had an album coming out. But have no fear they do have a song together “Masquatch” and MVGEN made a video for it. No April fools here just good music with good visuals.

Johnny Cash And Eazy-E “Folsom Prison Gangstaz”

jcee

Johnny Cash could be categorized as gansta country and his line from “Folsom Prison Blues,” “I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die” is as gansta as any rap lyric. Someone made a cool mashup of the man in black, with the man in the Black hat, Eazy-E, so I made a video for it.
